Logic helps you design a survey that flows depending on your participant's answers. It helps you ask only relevant questions to survey, and that intern leads to a better response rate.

Let's say you are conducting a physical fitness survey. If a person is fit, you want to keep it short. If a person's fitness level is poor, you want to ask additional questions.

That's where logic can help.

  1. Create a questionnaire and add the questions you would like to ask regardless of condition (Fit or Poor).

  2. Go to "Logic & Flow" and add rules, proper conditions, and a decision. In the above example, add a rule and then add condition (poor) and decision. If the condition is true, then the survey will jump participants to the appropriate questions.

That's it. Your survey will flow based on conditions and decisions that you have specified and provide an optimal experience to participants.

You also set up conditional redirect rules to external URLs using logic. It comes in handy when looking to collect reviews if the participant is a promoter and ask more detailed questions if they are detractors.

There are three redirect decisions.

  1. Disqualify and redirect updates the response status to disqualify before redirecting immediately.

  2. End Survey and redirect updates the response status to completed before redirecting immediately

  3. Redirect on competition allows participants to continue through the survey, finish the survey, and then redirect.
